Big, bright and airy room makes for a great place to drink from an ever-rotating selection of excellent beers. The food is great too.

Other than the enormous crowds of people who got there ahead of you, there's not one thing wrong with this place. They came up with four kegs of Harviestoun's Old Engine Oil this year. I missed every. Single. One. Harrumph. Just go. Nice people, truly welcoming room, startingly good food "for a pub."

Came for lunch and almost stayed for dinner. Beer choice is fair. Nice selection of microbrews although limited. Food was excellant. Steak sandwich was one of the specials for the week and I'm happy I followed the server's suggestion. Never felt rushed or neglected.

I just tried the barking dog alehouse down on 70th. They have more beers and much better service. I still like the 74th st but it's nice now to have a choice.

The 74th Street could easily qualify as one of the best restaurants in town -- the food is *that* good. Used to be my favorite Seattle tavern; go less frequently only because, after 5:30 in the evening, it's often too crowded to find a table.
Wonderful place for a lunch, though -- can't recommend it highly enough.
